What is HelenaCat?

HelenaCat is the first product made by Managing a Starship. It assists users with tracking and journaling their reproductive health.

Cycle tracking sucks. This app aims to make it as quick and simple as possible. When your cycle starts, tell the app it started with two clicks:

One to open the app, one to mark the current day.

As it goes on, Helena will visit your notifications and ask if it is ongoing:

One click for Android, two clicks or a long press and a click for iOS.

When it is over, tap 'No' on the notification and Helena stops visiting and stops tracking. That's it!

The data is yours

The data remains on your phone. No server, no third party, just you. You can export it at any time and do whatever you want with it.

Gender neutral

The app is themed after my cat, Helena, and video games. HelenaCat is meant to be for everyone. I mean everyone. Periods do not care about gender and neither does this app.

Fast

All interactions are made to be as few clicks as possible. We don't want to keep you in the app longer than you want to be there.

What is tracked online?

Crashes

Crashes are tracked on Firebase with Crashlytics. There are no identifying markers or user data in a crash report. Only what led to it and what the system gives as a stack trace.

App store usage

Crashes and other data are also tracked on the respective app stores. Again, no identifying markers or user data. Helena does not have control over this. More information on what is tracked at HelenaCat.app

Testing tracks

If you are one of Helena's lucky friends that helps with user testing or otherwise, then your email will be tracked in the respective app store. No one has access to this and they will never be exported or sold.
